Many parents are focussed on providing for their kids among other things, which is great. But it's not the most useful thing that a child needs. Yes, a child needs love, but how much love can a child experience when their parents can't help them identify their stressful emotions and guide them by having tools to manage this. It's clear that this impacts people well into their adult life.
